Google Plus one stickers with Adsense Checks

Its the first week of October and as usual i received my adsense check of $1242.00 for the previous month. Although the checks have been coming in the same old envelope for an year now, this one was special as google send me 6 plus one stickers with this check. It feels good that the program takes care of you and sends some complimentary products to show a little appreciation.

Why the plus one stickers with adsense ?

The reason could be any of the following :

1) Kill the boredom of the people who receive only checks

2) Free advertisement – According to many people (including me) plus one has a major competitor as facebook. Although plus one has some neat features as circles etc., it has still a lot to do. Plus one was launched for the public in the month of Sep 2011 i guess, so it is trying to do some free advertising through these stickers.

Stickers are considered to be very attractive. And since (according to my assumption) only adsense publishers are receiving these stickers, these will be limited and hence we can brag as how much google loves us . Adsense is one of the largest network out there. Since google sends near about a quarter million check every month, iam thinking if every advertiser receives this sticker. Iam hoping within a week or so when everyone has received their check, we will see pics of laptops, cars, bikes, buses and other public transportation systems will have these stickers and voila – Free advertisement of google plus one .

Although it sounds kind of lame to consider it as an advertisement campaign. I mean google has an alexa of 1. Facebook has a trillion PV per month so google will have like 1.5-2 trillion PVs. So a website with so much of traffic only has to put a link of plus one as social network group and people will visit it as bear to honey

My plans with these plus one stickers :

Iam going to stick these on my computer, my fridge, dining table, door etc. Since i do not have any vehicle right now (working from home DOH ) iam thinking the supposedly advertisement from my side is nil.
